With the “official” part of the tour over we were able to sleep in this morning, not getting up until 9:30 a.m. By the time we were ready to leave the room it was too late for breakfast, so we took a leisurely stroll back toward the Old Town Square stopping in a couple of shops to buy a few souvenirs. Since we weren’t all that far away from the hotel yet we took the bags back to our room, then headed back out once again.

As it neared lunch time we decided on a quaint little restaurant (Mama Lucy) that served Czech food where we were the only customers until just before we were finished. I had duck with traditional side dishes and Darwin had marinated pork ribs.

After lunch we spent a couple of hours doing more strolling through streets we hadn’t yet been on (as well as repeating a few familiar ones).

At 2:15 p.m. we were back at he hotel to rest and pack before dinner. Yesterday we had the hotel concierge recommend and make reservations for us for a 6:00 p.m. dinner at Zvonice. The small restaurant is located on the seventh and eighth floors of a bell tower built in 1518. We had a nice “farewell” dinner that lasted almost three hours.

The menu was a large leatherbound binder.

The restaurant was only a few blocks from the hotel, so we had a nice evening stroll back. Back at the hotel we met up with three others from our group (the three most fun ones!) and had a drink in the hotel lounge before finally headed up to our room and in bed at midnight, literally brining to a close day fourteen.
