Celebrating Darwin's Birthday a Couple of Weeks Early

Well, today we are nearing the half way point on this cruise. I finally pulled out some of the articles which I brought along as part of my plan to put together a study course on hymnody for use at the church, or possibly the joint Lenten study series. I also started a four day class to learn how to use Photoshop software. Probably nothing I will really use, but decided to get some education while on board.

For dinner we had reservations in the Verandah – the alternative fine dining restaurant on board. We used this as an early celebration of Darwin’s birthday.

The band was enlarged this evening to create a truly big band orchestra which played many of the classics from Artie Shaw, Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, etc. It was quite an enjoyable evening.
